About
Pet Nail Picks helps dog and cat owners do one small, stressful job better: trimming nails at home, calmly and safely.
Why this site exists
For a lot of pets, nail day means hiding under the bed. For a lot of owners, it means guessing where the quick is and hoping for the best. We started Pet Nail Picks to cut through the noise: which tools actually make the job easier, and how to use them without drama.
How we choose products
- We start from the problem. Seeing the quick, sharp edges after clipping, noise that scares pets, tools that are awkward to hold.
- We compare specifications (clipper type, safety guard, light, motor noise, charging, size) against those problems.
- We read what buyers say, the positive and the negative, and we summarise it in our own words, including the limits.
- We tell you how we know what we know. When a recommendation is based on research and buyer reviews rather than our own hands-on use, we say so. We never pretend to have tested something we haven’t.
How we make money
Pet Nail Picks is reader-supported. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases made through our links, at no extra cost to you. Brands don’t pay us to be featured, and a commission never decides what we recommend. We don’t sell or ship products ourselves: your purchase, delivery and returns are handled by Amazon and the seller.
Not veterinary advice
Our guides are general information for healthy pets. If your pet is in pain, has a nail injury, very long or ingrown nails, or a health condition, please ask your veterinarian or a professional groomer.
