Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information is collected when you visit petnailpicks.com (“Pet Nail Picks”, “we”, “us”) and how it is used. We keep it short because we collect very little.

What we collect

• No accounts, no forms, no newsletter. We don’t ask for your name, email address or payment details on this site.
• Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically records technical data when you load a page: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the date and time. These logs are used to keep the site secure and working, and are kept for a limited time by the host.
• Audience measurement (Google Analytics 4). With your consent where required, we measure how the site is used: pages viewed, time on page, clicks on our Amazon buttons, device and browser type, and approximate location (country or city). Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. We use this only to improve the site, never to sell data or show ads.
• No advertising trackers. We don’t use Meta Pixel or other ad-tracking tools, and Google Analytics’ advertising features are turned off.

Cookies

Analytics cookies. If you accept, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_* to count visits and distinguish visitors; they last up to 2 years. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, these cookies are only set after you click “Accept” on our banner. Elsewhere they are set unless you click “Decline”. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Your choice is stored in your browser (local storage, key pnp_consent).

Amazon cookies. When you click a link to Amazon, Amazon may set cookies on amazon.com to record that you came from our site, so we can receive a commission if you buy. Those cookies are governed by Amazon’s Privacy Notice, not by this policy.

Third-party services

• Google Analytics (Google LLC): audience measurement as described above. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Google Fonts: our fonts are loaded from Google, which receives your IP address when the page loads. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Hostinger: hosts the site and processes the server logs described above.
• Amazon: handles everything about your purchase (account, payment, delivery, returns) once you leave our site.

Amazon Associates Program

Pet Nail Picks is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. This doesn’t change the price you pay.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, or to object to its use. Because we collect very little, there is usually little to return or delete; analytics data is pseudonymous and kept for 14 months, but you can contact us at contact@petnailpicks.com and we’ll help, including with requests about server logs held by our host.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
